" Travel Information

Kalyani is very close to Kolkata (approx 55 kms away) and is well connected through both roadways and railway.

By Plane

The nearest airport of Kalyani is Dumdum airport, Kolkata (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport, around 50 kms from Kalyani), which is directly connected with many cities throughout India and abroad.

By Train

People cooming by train from other parts of the country have to get down at either Howrah station (West side of the river Ganges) or Sealdah station (East side of the river Ganges). From Sealdah station there are frequent local trains to Kalyani Main or Kalyani Ghosh Para station. People coming through Howrah station can go to Sealdh first and then can take local trains to Kalyani. Another option from Howrah station is to take local train to Bandel or Magra station and then to take bus/auto rickshaw to Kalyani.

Time-table of local trains from Sealdah to Kalyani Ghosh Para and back.

By Road

Kalyani is well-connected to Kolkata by road through Kalyani Expressway and it takes around 1 hour from Kolkata to Kalyani by car.
